Portrait Project

Portrait Project

The Portrait Project is an invitation to transform a personal image into an original work of art. Collectors are asked to submit a photograph of themselves, a loved one, or a meaningful figure, and have it reimagined through Adam Lister’s signature geometric language. Each portrait is carefully reduced to its essential shapes and color relationships, creating a balance between recognition and abstraction. The result is a distilled interpretation that captures not just appearance, but memory and how an image is felt and remembered over time.

Every piece in the Portrait Project is a one-of-one, hand-painted original, created with the same attention to structure, composition, and art historical sensibility that defines Adam’s work. By translating personal photographs into this visual system, the project bridges the intimate and the iconic.

Submissions will be opening soon…
